Summary

The previous highbay was using 150W Metal Halide. The change propose was for equivalent rated wattage of 150W induction lighting. Though rated wattage was similar at 150W, however actual results proved from the meter reading was a saving of -41%.


This led to significant brightness increase and better lighting experience for fast movement due to the usage as a sports arena.

After:            200W (INDUCTION)


Energy Saved (as per kWh meter reading):

    = (200-400) / 200 W

    = -50% savings

Summary

The previous lighting was using 400W Metal Halide lamp. The change propose was to reduce energy consumption and change to 200W induction lighting. 


From the brightness reading above, we were successful to improve the brightness level by up to 197% from the previous lighting Metal Halide lamps and achieve 50% savings. Overall uniformity of brightness and lighting experience has also improve significantly.

CASE C: GYMNASIUM

Before:250W (METAL HALIDE)

Units:90 units


After:200W (INDUCTION)

Units:59 units


Total Energy Reduction

= (200W x 59) - (250W x 90) / (250W x 59)

= (11,800 - 22,500) / 22,500

= -47.5%

Summary

The previous lighting was using 250W Metal Halide lamp. The change propose was to reduce energy consumption and change to 200W induction lighting. We also manage to reduce the light fitting while achieving the targeted brightness improvement of +75%. We manage to reduce the fixtures by 31 units (-34%).


From the brightness reading above, we were successful to improve the brightness level by up to 75% from the previous lighting Metal Halide lamps.
